The pattern was named by the Case Collectors Club community at the Zippo/Case International Swap Meet in 2004 and officially introduced to the public in January 2005.
The Baby Doc hearkens back to a time when doctors carried knives like this in their medicine bags, using them to cut sutures and bandages, crush pills, and mix medicines with liquids while making house calls. Compact yet functional, it blends vintage utility with modern craftsmanship.
